| 31 July 2008 Team West U-17 Roster Announced |
| Hockey Manitoba has released the names of players remaining on the evaluation roster. These 24 players will continue to be monitored until a final roster of eleven players will be announced to join with the eleven players from Saskatchewan to form Team West. | Canada's first National Women's Midget Championship gets underway 19 April through 25 Apr 2009 at the Max Bell arena in Calgary. The Esso Cup championship tournament will follow the same format as the Telus Cup. Due to scheduling conflicts, Quebec has withdrawn from the 2009 Esso Cup. Details |

| Hockey Canada announced the 20 player roster for the 2009 IIHF World Women's U18 championship. Included on the roster are four Manitobans; Bridgette Lacquette, Christine Bestland, Breann Frykas, and Brittany Phillips.
