Notification to Macdonald Officials
About Your Officials
All hockey officials are certified annually in compliance with Hockey Canada / Hockey Manitoba.
Each game they work hard to uphold the 'Standard of Play'.
Want to become an 'Official'? Review the Hockey Manitoba Officiating Program information online and then register for an upcoming 'clinic'.
Officiating hockey is a challenging task, requiring a sharp wit, physical stamina and sometimes a thick skin. Officating is also a satisfying and rewarding endeavour.
Without officials, it is a different game!
Role of an Official
Apply the rules of the game as fairly and as accurately as possible at all times.
Uphold the philosophy and the rights of all participants to fair play and penalize accordingly all violent acts.
Raise the standard of play in each game they officiate.
Do the best job they can in each game, no matter what the level of hockey.
Players are asked to work hard and try their best - The same holds true for the Officials.
